Street Photography – Doggy Style!

When browsing photography blogs recently, I noticed a trend for a particular candid style called Street Photography.  It involves taking a snapshot of unsuspecting passers-by and trying to capture a slice of their life.

“Street photography is a type of documentary photography that features subjects in candid situations within public places such as streetsparksbeaches, mallspolitical conventions and other settings.”  [Wikipedia – Street Photography]

On a recent trip to the seaside town of Howth, I thought I would attempt some street photography of my own, using dogs as my subject matter!  Here are the best captures!

Labrador Tail!

Swimming Spaniels!

Walking in Howth

Running Spaniel!

Shih Tzu in a coat!

    • I like that one too! I had to zoom in a fair bit to get the shot, so it’s a bit grainy.

What you can’t see in the photo, is that the black and white dog had little pink bows on her ears. It was so cute, but I didn’t manage to get a shot of it! 🙂

  1. What a great idea to use doggies for street photography. I was going to take part in a blogging thing once called 100 faces where you had to collect 100 photos of strangers & write a bit about each one but I felt too self conscious of trying to take people’s photos without them knowing
